Productivity
Are you concerned that you wouldn’t know how hard the remote worker is working?

We were not surprised to see study after study in the post-COVID world show that many workers are more productive working from home than they are in the office. We have benefited from the focus of remote workers for years. Each employee hired through We Are Working will be productive every hour they spend on the clock. How can we be so confident? . They are held accountable for their time to a much higher degree than most employees. Using activity-logging software we record the amount of time the worker actually spends working(to the minute) and we capture random screenshots to ensure that there is no bogus activity. We provide weekly activity reports with a summary of everything, but of course you can do your own inspection at any time.

In order to move work offsite in a smart and controlled way, a business is often going to need to develop tighter controls over the work. The playbook for tight, operational controls is basically the same for all companies and revolves around documentation and processes. 2. We optimize. During the first step we often locate redundant or obsolete tasks and therefore are able to eliminate some of the work right up front.
3. We define jobs. All employee jobs are anchored to a task management platform that basically becomes their ‘job profile’. It specifies exactly what they will do and when they do it. This platform also serves as the communication mechanism so that everyone is updated as stuff happens.
4. We monitor and report. Everything the worker does is closely monitored and inspected. The employee will not have the latitude to slack off or do personal stuff.
5. We free up your time. As this process of having less expensive workers do all the tasks that they can feasibly do, you end up freeing up more time for your core staff to spend their time on more valuable tasks that produce a much bigger return on their efforts.

There are no setup fees and we do not charge for the consultation and planning stages. You would, however, pay for any of our labor costs involved in the setup of the different documents or processes that your company doesn’t currently have. For example, if you don’t have adequate written standard operating procedures (SOPs) in place and you want us to handle creating those with the help of your subject matter expert, you would pay about $7/hr for that time.
However, with savings from the lower labor rate hitting the bottom line in about 2 weeks, it really turns out to be virtually no cost with moving forward.

Working with Offshore Talent
Often if work can be done remotely, it could also be done remotely via an offshore worker for even greater savings. Do you have concerns that an offshore worker could be a frustrating experience because of lack of knowledge or a heavy accent?
